Buying
Maine Estate Pre-1960 Household Items
Are
you hiding money in your basement, closet or inside a kitchen drawer
and forgot about it? Maybe you are even thinking of throwing
it out! Some of those old things laying around the house could mean
money to you! I'm looking to trade cash for those old things (pre-1960)
you no longer want, need or forgot you even had. Maybe you are getting
ready to downsize, move or are thinking of having a garage or estate
liquidation sale and have some of the things I am seeking. I can
come to your house and trade you cash to get that stuff out of your
way! In fact some of the things I collect are routinely thrown away
or in a "free" pile at a garage sale, like old gift wrap,
used Christmas cards, etc. simply because most dealers and people
don't want them, but I collect them! I'll pay you for that if it's
what I'm seeking! These are tough times, so who couldn't use some
extra jingle? I'm a collector who loves old things and have been
buying antiques, collectibles and vintage household items in Maine
for close to two decades.

Examples
of vintage items, collectibles or antiques (pre-1960) I'm looking
to buy: Kitchen:
Tablecloths, hand towels, aprons, plates, glassware, toasters,
silverware, cooking utensils, salt and pepper shakers, small appliances,
cans with labels, timers, chrome dinette sets, knick knacks.
Christmas: Cards (even used!), ornaments, decorations,
gift wrapping paper, lights, figurines, "tacky" things
A-OK! Household: Jars and containers, matches,
tools, radios, clocks, figurines, plates, tea service, candy dishes,
books, lamps, curtains, toys, games, rotary phones, soap &
detergent boxes, sheets in original packaging, vanity items.

Are
you thinking of selling on ebay? Let's say you have a bunch
of $3 items. When you subtract all ebay
fees and PayPal
fees your profit is around one buck per item for the time you
spend taking pictures, typing thorough descriptions, listing them,
answering customer questions, and hey, you haven't even packaged
and shipped them yet! And they might not even sell. That's a lot
of work! Even if you have items worth more it's the same process.
Why go through all of that hassle when a nice local gal can stop
by and pay you right away for a whole bunch of things at once?
Are
you considering a garage sale? Yard and garage sales are
a lot of work. You'll have to pay to advertise in the paper, make
signs and deal with lots of strangers coming to your house and rummaging
through your things. Those early birds like to show up wicked early,
even when you state "No early birds!" You'll need to be
able to provide change and keep an eye on everything. I'm neat,
clean and polite- I'll respect your time and make a quick offer.

It's
free to have me come by! I'll drive to homes in the greater
Portland, Maine area for one or a few items, but if you have an
entire estate I will travel if you have what I am seeking. I do
not offer appraisals- "just" money! No dealers,
please.
Request
your free visit to see if I'll pay you cash for your old things!
Please note I reserve
the right to refuse a request. I do not sell or share your information!
If it sounds like you have something I'm interested in, I will call
you to make an appointment. If not, I will send you a polite "thanks
but no thanks" via email. I live and and work in the Portland,
Maine area.
